AkzoNobel (AKZA.AS), the largest global paint and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals, has tapped XPLANE to define the future of its Wood Finishes and Adhesives business unit’s global integrated supply chain by leveraging XPLANE’s business design thinking methodology. Headquartered in Louisville, KY, the Global Wood Finishes and Adhesives business unit has 3,400 employees with business activities in 40 countries, and revenue of 780 million Euro.

“Given the global scale and market breadth of this group’s offering, integrating the supply chain is key to their strategy,” says Drew Mattison, vice president of business development at XPLANE. “This initial effort will develop a great foundation for future growth, focusing on business unit alignment, defining the ideal future state, and ultimately crafting the roadmap for action.”
