Move Your Team’s Culture From What It Was to What You Want It To Be
We’ve all felt it: the deflated feeling at the end of your seventh Zoom call of the day. Your creativity is plummeting, and projects and co-workers that were once a delight now feel like a drag.
Yes, we continue to meet via videoconference and execute our projects through digital platforms. But how we collaborate, communicate, and co-create has forever changed. Many of the elements that made up a workplace culture vanished overnight—the office of the future is going to look a whole lot different than it did this past February. How can we bring the best of our organization’s culture into this new landscape of work? How can we bring back the joy of feeling connected to our co-workers and projects?
During this workshop, we taught registrants how to use a classic human-centered design framework to map the key elements of your organization’s culture and design how to evolve it in this new era of work. We also discussed the behaviors that support the best aspects of culture, investigated the elements of an organization that help support it, and prepared for how to evolve as thoughtfully and quickly as possible into their ‘new normal’.
This workshop also included example tools that can be put to work to evolve your own organizational culture right away.
Attendees learned how to:
- Identify the critical behaviors that define your culture
- Design the outcomes you want to achieve in the new working environment
- Recognize the enablers that will help your organization evolve
Length & timing: This 1.5-hour workshop was held on Friday, August 21st.
