It’s human-readable (Flash files are not), very extensible and very effective. Currently one needs to get a plug-in for the browser; but hopefully, SVG will be supported by the major browsers soon. Then, one can seize all the advantages of SVG; it is an XML-namespace, thus it can be combined with any other XML-namespace.”
