“The theme for the ASIS Summit was ‘Defining Information Architecture.’ The format was kind of interesting — every session was plenary, and every session was made up of four speakers. Each speaker had twenty minutes (short!) to say whatever he or she wanted, choosing a point of view from which to address a set of questions about information architecture. Since I have been using ethnographic methods to drive many different kinds of design work for the last few years, I chose to present some thoughts from that point of view. Here are the thoughts more or less as I presented them.”
