PORTLAND, Ore. (June 26, 2009) — XPLANE, a global information design consultancy, took home the top Stevie American Business Award in the category of Best Animation/Illustration. The company was also a finalist in the categories of Best Advertising, Editorial or Design Agency and Best Single Advertisement in the field of Energy.
XPLANE won for the illustration, A Website Named Desire, a poster created for Microsoft showing the inner-workings of Website development. XPLANE came in second behind DDB of Chicago for Best Advertising, Editorial or Design Agency, and earned finalist status in the category of Best Single Ad: Energy for its creation of Earth 2030, a thought-provoking video on energy efficiency produced for BASF Group.
