XPLANE is excited to be selected by the City of West Sacramento to lead the development of an application for the Bloomberg Mayors Challenge, a contest organized by Bloomberg Philanthropies to identify and implement the five most innovative local solutions to a problems facing cities. In its bid to be one of the finalists (out of 400 cities invited), the City of West Sacramento has selected XPLANE to facilitate the development of the creative solution to a need or problem facing West Sacramento. Mayor Christopher Cabaldon and 30 hand-selected thought partners , representing more than a dozen interest groups, including state and local government agencies, school districts, educators, land developers, healthcare providers, manufacturers, retailers, farmers, and hospitality providers are all part of the team that will work to develop the vision and plan for the solution.
